Within the project, a midterm evaluation of the EU co-financed funding activities that are conducted within the Department 16 of the Styrian state government was conducted. These are projects under Axis 4 in the Austrian Rural Development Programme 2007-2013, Integrated Sustainable Regional Development in the “Regional Competitiveness Styria 2007-2013” programme and projects from the bilateral European Territorial Cooperation programmes Slovenia-Austria and Hungary- Austria with Styrian financing. Core contents were:
- An interim evaluation of the project implementation.
- Checking the focus of the projects in terms of achievement of the program objectives and derivation of a possible need for action.
- The development of recommendations for the future programming period especially in terms of management structures with an emphasis on the regional and LEADER management structures.
