Agricultural and rural development policy
We collaborate with national ministries, the European Commission, the European Parliament and other institutions on aspects related to rural development as well as agriculture-related topics, in particular related to the programming and evaluation of CAP funding.
Agricultural and rural development policy
The evaluation of CAP funding has been at the core of our expertise for decades. At ÖIR, the delivery of tailored, usable and hands-on evaluation results and recommendations are one of our core values. We deliver analyses of pressing issues in rural areas, such as on employment, generational renewal, economic diversification, and land abandonment. At local level, we work together with LAGs in the preparation and implementation of local development strategies.
Through our longstanding experience on the CAP, we have obtained expertise in the issues affecting rural areas, their development pathways and strengths. In combination with our expertise in CAP funding, we can offer tailored advice to rural development actors at all governance levels – from local to EU level –on matters of programme implementation to territorial analyses. Thanks to our language and regional competences, as well as our network of experts, we are able to conduct EU-wide studies.
Our services:
- Evaluations of CAP Strategic Plans
- Support of LEADER and LAG implementation
- Analysis, design and use of financial instruments
- Analysis of balanced territorial development in rural areas
- Development cooperation
