Environment & Energy
Climate change is a global challenge. The increased use of renewable energy sources plays a significant role in reducing the impacts of human activities on the global climate. At ÖIR, we furthermore conduct Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) to analyse the impacts of wind and solar energy plants and energy development plans. We prepare impact analyses covering elements such as spatial development, land and townscapes, as well as environmental and cultural heritage. We also moderate stakeholder conflicts, for example, between project applicants, municipalities, citizens, spatial planning actors, environmental protection groups and NGOs to ensure comprehensive stakeholder involvement processes.
