The EU’s financial support for the environment is spread across many different EU funding programmes. Commissioned by DG ENV, a guide, destined to project promoters, provides a detailed description of those 2021-2027 MFF funding programmes and instruments that could support projects that directly or indirectly contribute to the EU’s environmental policies and objectives. The aim of this guide is twofold: to increase awareness and to empower potential project promoters by providing them with knowledge and insights to facilitate applications for EU funding or financing for the environment.

ÖIR contributed to drafting the guide, particularly the sections dealing with the Cohesion Policy Funds. Moreover, ÖIR was involved in the organisation of several national-level conferences, presenting the guide as well as providing information on the contribution of selected funds to support circular economy projects.
