OIR conducted a study examining the local governance structure of SME and entrepreneurship policy in the EU. 17 cities and regions within and beyond the EU borders were analysed regarding the roles and responsibilities of SME policies, good practise examples and opportunities and obstacles for SME development. The study concludes with policy recommendations on how the analysed mechanisms could be improved even further, as well as how to transfer them to other territories in the EU.
