In order to prepare Romanian mountain regions for the upcoming ecological, economic and social challenges, a strategy for mountain regions was developed by the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the World Bank and regional stakeholders. The ex-ante analysis of the strategy carried out by ÖIR using the national TIA tool for Romania has now been finalised. As a contribution to the strategy development, Roland Gaugitsch, Erich Dallhammer, Cristian Andronic and Reinhard Pichler analysed potential territorial impacts, examined objectives and measures, identified possible sources of funding for the measures and developed a monitoring system for implementation.
