Making sure that rural regions are able to benefit equally from implemented policies through Rural Proofing is an upcoming element of policymaking. Roland Gaugitsch and Bernd Schuh contributed to the Rural proofing of the upcoming Framework law on Sustainable Food Systems, by implementing a TIA workshop with a specific rural focus in cooperation with the European Committee of the Regions.
