In collaboration with t33 as lead partner and Spatial Foresight, ÖIR is involved in the drafting of a support study for the mid-term evaluation of cohesion policy programmes 2021-2027 financed by the ERDF, Cohesion Fund and JTF, which is commissioned by DG REGIO.

The study will contribute to assessing the intervention logics of the adopted programmes in relation to place-based and general needs, providing early evidence of cohesion policy effectiveness, efficiency and impact, their coherence with other policies, their relevance and the EU added value. It will also assess the main changes in cohesion policy design and planned activities, seeking to identify the main factors that are likely to contribute to the success or failure of these investments under different socio-economic and administrative conditions.
