The ESPON BRIDGES project conducted by a large consortium, including OIR, and led by Spatial Foresight has been recently finalized. The project team has studied four geographical specificities: mountains, islands, sparsely populated areas and coastal areas from the perspective of nine thematic modules in order to formulate policy recommendations with regards to the development of these territories. The project methodology relied on insightful case studies – among them was a case study on the Polish Tatra Mountains conducted by Martyna Derszniak-Noirjean.
