The European Commission DG AGRI tasked ÖIR, ADE SA, CCRI and CREA to evaluate the role of the CAP in supporting the Long-Term Vision for Rural Areas (LTVRA) and investigate the interplay of the CAP with other EU and national funds in supporting holistic rural development. The EU’s LTVRA provides a wider strategic framework for support to rural areas across the action fields stronger, connected, resilient and prosperous rural areas.

The project team will analyse the effectiveness and relevance of the CAP 2014-2022 as well as the CAP 2023-2027 in relation to the actions outlined in the LTVRA. Additionally, we will assess the coherence between the CAP and the main other EU funding instruments for rural areas – the ERDF, the ESF, and the EMFF, as well as the RRF – in supporting rural areas.
