The final report for the Committee of the Regions study „Rural proofing – a foresight framework for resilient rural communities“ developed by a joint team of ÖIR and Spatial Foresight has been published. At ÖIR, Roland Gaugitsch, Isabella Messinger, Wolfgang Neugebauer and Bernd Schuh assessed how Rural Proofing and Territorial Impact Assessment can be linked with each other and mainstreamed in the policy process both at EU level as well as for national, regional and local authorities. This should ultimately contribute to the consideration of rural needs on all levels of policy processes. The study was also presented within the ENRD working group on Rural Proofing by Roland Gaugitsch. The full document is available here.
