The current INTERREG programmes are phasing out within the next years. The programme authorities started discussions about the upcoming period 2014-2020. Together with the Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization and seven other national experts ÖIR (project director Bernd Schuh) started working on the analysis of challenges, needs and potentials of the CENTRAL EUROPE area and strategic orientations in view of the transnational cooperation for the period 2014-2020.
