The European Commission recently approved the Austrian programme for the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture fund 2021-2027 as one of the first programmes in Europe. Erich Dallhammer and Roland Gaugitsch conducted the Strategic Environmental Assessment including the public consultation in parallel with the programme development process. The assessment helped to identify environmental impacts and developed recommendations for improvements of the programme. Furthermore ÖIR contributed to the programme development in a project team together with the Federal Environmental Agency, the ÖAR and the University of Life Sciences Vienna.
