Mid March 2020, Stephanie Kirchmayr-Novak, Erich Dallhammer and Roland Gaugitsch startet the work on the update of the ESPON Hyeratlas 2.0. The tool allows policy makers to analyse and compare their region with the neighbouring, regional, national or European situation regarding a number of indicators. The tool applies multiscalar territorial analysis to describe how regions perform in comparison to other regions, countries or macro-regions. The contract comprises the update of design and programming of the tool as well as its testing and dissemination, including the drafting of guidance documents. The updated HyperAtlas 3.0 will be available in spring 2021. Information on the existing HyperAtlas is available on the ESPON website.
