To stimulate the modernisation of the Danube fleet is one thematic priority within the EU Danube Region Strategy. The project ‘Innovative Danube Vessel’ focuses on the elaboration and development of innovative vessel concepts and technology solutions with high potential for implementation. OIR’s task within the project is to describe and evaluate the framework conditions for ship operation on the Danube as basis for the R&D activities. The leaflet of the project can be downloaded here.
