As one of six regional laboratories in the context of the project ESPON DeTeC, a stakeholder workshop on the subject of ‘Potentials and Challenges of Styria in the European context’ was conducted on November 20th 2013 at the premises of the Department for federal planning and regional development Styria. Erich Dallhammer and Jiannis Kaucic presented maps of the ESPON Atlas publication, examples of methods and tools of ESPON-projects as well as the draft of a handbook. About 25 regional stakeholders discussed about added-value, quality, comparability, availability and applicability of ESPON results. The knowledge gained in the discussions of the workshop will contribute to the development of the handbook, which will be finished in March 2014.
