As part of the Smart City Week from November 27th to 29th 2013 Christof Schremmer from ÖIR presented the project TRANSFORM and its follow-up project TRANSFORM+. The FP7 research project TRANSFORM addresses strategies of the cities Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Genoa, Lyon and Vienna to achieve the EU 2020 and 2050 goals for reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

The FP7 research project TRANSFORM addresses strategies of the cities Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Genoa, Lyon and Vienna to achieve the EU 2020 and 2050 goals for reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions. The City of Vienna (MA 18) and OIR are responsible for the work package 4, which develops strategies and implementation plans for 7 selected “Smart Urban Labs” in 6 TRANSFORM partner cities. Vienna supports the project with its planning and implementation experiences of the two city development areas Aspern Seestadt and Liesing-Großerlaa.
