On September 27, 2018, a stakeholder workshop was held in the city of Split. The mayor and deputy mayor of Split, the city administration, representatives of the Croatian Railways, Croatian Roads and Port Authority as well as from the EBRD financing agency participated. The project team – iC consulenten, Snizek + Partner and Christof Schremmer from OIR – presented the interim draft report of the Masterplan. This includes scenarios for the development of the port area and a future northern urban district.

The mayor and deputy mayor of Split, the city administration, representatives of the Croatian Railways, Croatian Roads and Port Authority as well as from the EBRD financing agency participated. The project team – iC consulenten, Snizek + Partner and Christof Schremmer from OIR – presented the interim draft report of the Masterplan. This includes scenarios for the development of the port area and a future northern urban district.
The Masterplan shall outline the new railway terminal and redevelopment of the downtown port area cultural, congress and hotel facilities. For the area around a planned multi-modal hub in railway station of Kopilica, urban development for offices, university facilites and residential uses are foreseen. OIR is analysing the future development options for both sites in coordination with transport planning and financial feasibility studies. The Split Master Plan is funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and runs until 2019.
