On May 5th 2015, Vienna’s 9th Smart City Forum was held on citizens participation. The dense program made it possible to provide good insights into the various aspects of citizens’ participation, lessons learned from recent citywide participation processes and a variety of participatory instruments. Within the interactive format ‘World Café’, the participants discussed current issues: Ursula Mollay from OIR moderated the thematic round on “Smart kids – children and young people shape the future”, Max Kintisch and Joanne Tordy moderated the round on “Awareness rising for smart behavior”.
