OIR on behalf of the Committee of Regions conducted an analysis of feasibility of mapping the social dimension of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU). Strengthening the \u201csocial dimension of EMU\u201d is one important ele\u00adment of the new Eu\u00adropean Commission and relates to the ability of economic governance mecha\u00adnisms and policy in\u00adstruments to address problematic deve\u00adlopments and chal\u00adlenges related to em\u00adployment and social policies in the EMU. At EU-level, a limited number of employ\u00adment and social indi\u00adcators are moni\u00adto\u00adred as part of the European em\u00adploy\u00adment strategy and the Macroeco\u00adnomic Imbalance Pro\u00adcedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
