Within the frame of the preparation of the IPA CBC Programme Bulgaria – Serbia, Bulgaria – FYROM and Bulgaria – Turkey, ÖIR elaborated the operational programmes for the 2014-2020 funding period in cooperation with ÖAR Regionalberatung GmbH, Consulting & Management Ltd. and Pliska Consulting Ltd.
The project included an in-depth analysis of regional needs, a detailed SWOT-analysis and the elaboration of the future strategy for crossborder cooperation in the area. Besides the elaboration of the operational programme, a number of citizen participation activities were implemented, including amongst others: an online survey, field trips to CBC projects and regional workshops where the future programme orientation was discussed with regional stakeholders.
