In October 2015, the NALAS (Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe) task force on Energy Efficiency organised a workshop dealing with the issue of applying EU legislation for energy efficiency measures at local level in Priština. Member countries of the NALAS network comprise Albania, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldava, Montenegro, Rumania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. ÖIR prepared information on EU legislative framework and its relation to options for implementation at a local scale, including experiences from other European countries, in order to contribute to the support of Local Government Associations to deal with the challenges of energy related issues, to develop energy efficiency projects and identify potential available funding for the region.

Before the workshop ÖIR elaborated a survey to collect information on the actual situation in NALAS member countries and designed the workshop in close co-operation with members of the NALAS network. In the course of the workshop in Priština, ÖIR provided input and moderated the discussion with the aim to stimulate with guiding questions and interactive moderation tools.
