This handbook is part of the Committee of the Regions’ initiative to support the implementation of the European Green Deal (EGD) at sub-national levels. The handbook is introducing leading principles of the EGD, provides an overview of issues and challenges faced by cities and regions in implementing the EGD and a step-by-step approach to the elaboration of green deals adapted to local conditions, relevant to various stands of action.
ÖIR focused on providing guidance for the implementation of the EGD’s components at local and regional levels. The addressed policy areas include building and renovation, sustainable mobility, zero pollution, biodiversity, sustainable consumption and production and circular economy, as well as clean energy.
