The project Green Guria is funded through the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development and led by the Georgian NGO Caucasus Environmental NGO Network (CENN). As partner, ÖIR organized two study trips for Georgian delegates of the Guria LAG as well as other public authority representatives to learn about LEADER implementation in Austria. During the first trip in April 2024, 17 participants visited the two LEADER regions Eisenstraße and Südliches Waldviertel/Nibelungen¬gau. Moreover, participants met representatives from the Austrian Agricultural Ministry and the national rural network to gather information about the LEADER experience in Austria and the functioning of Austrian LAGs. In September 2024, the second trip took 12 representatives from the Guria LAGs through the Lower Austrian LEADER regions Bucklige Welt – Wechselland and Lower Austria South to visit various LEADER-funded projects.
