Together with s33 and Spatial Foresight ÖIR analysed the incorporation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the European Semester: at the national level in the National Recovery and Resilience Plans (NRRPs) throughout EU as well as at local and regional level by in selected case study regions. Potential synergies between the interventions designed in the NRRPs and in the regional development strategies were investigated.
Kinga Hat and Arndt Münch conducted two regional case studies in Baden-Württemberg (Germany) and Flanders (Belgium) based on document and data analysis and expert interviews. Special focus was put on the urban development strategies of Stuttgart, Mannheim and Ghent.
