The implementation of the Just Transition Fund (JTF) in European regions which are affected the most by the transition towards a climate-neutral economy is of particular importance for the refinery region Schwedt/Oder in the Uckermark as well as for the coal region Lausitz. The JTF was implemented via territorial just transitions plans under the umbrella of the ERDF/JTF Brandenburg 2021-2027 programme. Erich Dallhammer and Roland Gaugitsch conducted the Strategic Environmental Assessment including the public consultation in parallel with the plan- and programme development process.
