From 16th to 20th April, 2018, Bernd Schuh and Helene Gorny went to Georgia within the frame of the ENPARD II programme on Optimising the Potential of Local Assets for Rural Development of Keda Municipality. The first day of the trip was dedicated to the review of the Keda region territorial analysis, the identification of potential strengths and weaknesses and discussions regarding the data availability issues. The second day consisted in a field visit to Keda municipality in order to host a workshop with the 15 LAG board members. The aim was to better understand some of the priorities identified in the SWOT analysis in order to pinpoint which specific actions the LAG could undertake. This forms the basis for the Local Development Strategy´s action plan and the related grant manual. During the third day, attention was drawn on the development of indicators, a project life cycle and the related governance structure. OIR is looking forward to receiving a delegation of 30 representatives from the Keda LAG as well as other prominent officials, in October 2018 in Austria.
