We are pleased to announce the completion of the ESPON study “territorial governance of non-standard geographies”, carried out in close cooperation with Spatial Foresight. The study explores how emerging trends are reshaping territorial governance across Europe, with a particular focus on functional interdependencies that go beyond established administrative boundaries. ÖIR contributed to the analysis by leading the assessment of energy saving governance, with a focus on local and regional strategies for the building sector, including aspects such as social inclusion, affordability and mission-based governance.
