At the end of May 2018, the EU Commission published the new framework for the post 2020 programming period. The draft regulation aims at implementing mechanisms to allow for the application of legal provisions from another Member State in cross-border regions. This should contribute to facilitating the functioning of cross border services and infrastructure projects.

This should contribute to facilitating the functioning of cross border services and infrastructure projects. On 27 June, Bernd Schuh and Erich Dallhammer from OIR moderated a workshop on the territorial impact assessment analysing its territorial consequences on regions. The workshop was organised by DG Regio and conducted within the “ESPON TIA Tool Upgrade” project.
