In April 2013 OIR has finalized its ESPON SCALES project, which has examined the practical usefulness of data generated Europe-wide. As a European project partner the Austrian Conference on Spatial Planning (ÖROK) commissioned OIR to elaborate the Austrian contribution to the project on the topic of “risk management, climate change and culture(landscape)” together with the ÖROK. Highlight of the project was a seminar for experts held in June 2012 in Vienna. The project was edited by Erich Dallhammer and Joanne Tordy.
