In June 2017 the Belgian ESPON Contact point has invited Bernd Schuh to contribute to their infoday on SMEs and regional airports in Liège. This infoday served the purpose to bring interested institutions and stakeholders up to date with ESPON activities and initiate possible targeted analyses. The first results from the ESPON project on SMEs in Europe, elaborated by Stephanie Kirchmayr-Novak, Jiannis Kaucic, Helene Gorny, Edith Stifter and Martyna Derszniak-Noirjean, have been presented and followed up a discussion on the implications for the Belgian case. The ESPON SME project is in the meantime in its last phase and will be finalised in November 2017. A project description is available on the OIR-website.
