On June 19th 2013 the 20th Austrian Logistics Day took place in Linz, Upper Austria. One of the topics was ‘Future trimodal transport concepts with the focus Black Sea’. In a joint event of ProDanube Austria (PDA) and the Austrian association ‘Verein Netzwerk Logistik’ (VNL) Reinhold Deußner from OIR presented results of the studies KoLEG and KoLWiRu. These studies evaluated the economic feasibility of a combined liner service on the Danube between the Austrian ports Enns and Vienna in Austria and the Romanian ports Galati and Constanta. With representatives of the industry, stakeholders and logisticians further implementation steps were discussed. The project description of KoLWiRu can be downloaded here (German).
