This study tour led the group through three Austrian LAGs: Donau-Böhmerwald, Pramtal-Sauwald, Südliches Waldviertel – Nibelungengau. The LAG managers introduced the LAGs, further elaborating on key issues such as the projects selection process. Based on their recommendations, several LEADER co-funded projects were also visited. OIR will welcome a second delegation, in May 2019, to visit other regions and LAGs.
Special thanks the LAG managers and other local representatives who supported us: Georg Ecker (Regional Parliament of Upper Austria), Klaus Diendorfer (LAG manager Donau-Böhmerwald), Alois Selker (Mayor of Sigharting), Johannes Karrer (LAG manager Pramtal-Sauwald), Dieter Holzer (Chairman LAG Südliches Waldviertel – Nibelungengau), Thomas Heindl (LAG manager Südliches Waldviertel – Nibelungengau), Vera Serdinsek (LAG assistant Südliches Waldviertel – Nibelungengau).
