A new research study investigating the current challenges for and future prospects of the European agricultural labour force was launched in July 2019 by an expert Consortium led by OIR. This study, commissioned by the European Parliament’s Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, will rely on both qualitative and quantitative analysis as well as in-depth case studies to provide high-level answers to the various research questions.

This study, commissioned by the European Parliament’s Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, will rely on both qualitative and quantitative analysis as well as in-depth case studies to provide high-level answers to the various research questions. OIR, the Countryside and Community Research Institute of the University of Gloucestershire and Red2Red Consultores, together with thematic experts, will conduct this study over the summer and deliver the final report in autumn 2019.
