For the second time this year, we had the opportunity to support the Georgian NGO Caucasus Environmental NGO Network (CENN) in organizing a study trip to learn about LEADER implementation in Austria and to accompany them on the trip.
Twelve representatives from the three newly established Local Action Groups (LAGs) in the Guria region had five days to familiarize themselves with the European LEADER approach and to understand the structure of the Austrian LAGs. Together with the LAG managers from the Lower Austrian LEADER regions Bucklige Welt – Wechselland and Lower Austria South, we visited various implementation projects and learned from the experiences of the project leaders. A few tourist attractions were also included in the itinerary.
The study trip took place as part of the EU-funded project “Green Guria – Supporting Local Democracy and Rural Development for Inclusive and Resilient Green Growth.”
