On the 16th of December 2013 the project “TIA Web Application” started with a meeting in Luxemburg. The tools project which was tendered by the European Spatial Planning Observatory Network (ESPON) will be realised by OIR together with AIDICO (Spain) and runs for one year. Aim of the project is the development of a user friendly web tool on the basis of the “Territorial Impact Assessment Quick Check”, which was developed in the ESPON ARTS project.

The tools project which was tendered by the European Spatial Planning Observatory Network (ESPON) will be realised by OIR together with AIDICO (Spain) and runs for one year. Aim of the project is the development of a user friendly web tool on the basis of the “Territorial Impact Assessment Quick Check”, which was developed in the ESPON ARTS project. The regional sensitivity indicators will be updated as well as a function for creating maps on the territorial impact of EU Legislations, Policies and Directives will be integrated into the web tool. The tool aims to allow regional policy makers and practitioners to identify potential territorial impacts of new legislative measures (e.g. EU directives) on European regions.
