On behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management (BMLUK) we have been elaborating the process evaluation for the implementation of the EMFAF programme in Austria since spring 2025. The project team – Ursula Mollay, Wolfgang Neugebauer, supported by Erich Dallhammer, Arndt Münch, Michelle Wiest and Reinhard Pichler – has carried out data and document analyses, an online survey among beneficiaries and stakeholders, numerous interviews with programme partners in Austria, as well as programme managements in other EU Member States. Recently, the key findings were discussed in an intensive workshop in order to highlight proposals for further improving programme implementation from different implementation perspectives and against the backdrop of the changes to the new 2028+ programme period. The results of the workshop will be included in the evaluation report, which will be available in early 2026.
