Which territorial effects are created by cross-border rail infrastructure? ÖIR is currently addressing this question in a territorial impact assessment study in the Eastern Brandenburg-Lubuskie region. The example case “Ostbahn/Linia 203” connecting Berlin with Gorzow Wielkopolski in Poland and is currently in the planning phase for upgrades in the future. Roland Gaugitsch and Erich Dallhammer have presented the methodological and thematic results at the final conference of the project in Gorzow Wielkopolski, bringing together stakeholders and political representatives.
