The Austrian EMFAF 2021-2027 Programme, co-financed by the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF), is an important instrument for supporting the fisheries and aquaculture sector in Austria. On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Climate- and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water (BMLUK), ÖIR has started the process evaluation for the implementation of the program.
The evaluation started in April and focuses on the question of how effectively the implementation and coordination of the program works. The project team with Ursula Mollay, Wolfgang Neugebauer and Arndt Münch is analysing the programming, project management structures and implementation as well as program communication and is also gathering experience from other EU countries. The conclusions and recommendations are expected to be available by the end of 2025.
