On November 11th, the ESPON Seminar “‘Polycentric territorial development’: What is it about?” took place at the University of Luxembourg. Possible answers to this question were given from the perspectives of Luxembourg, the Greater Region* and of the ESPON programme.
During the first part of the seminar, the challenges for Luxembourg in its cross-border context were described. In the second part, the value added of a polycentric territorial development was discussed at a round table with representatives from Luxembourg and the Greater Region*. Tobias Panwinkler gave a presentation with insights into the polycentric development of the CENTROPE region, to highlight similarities and differences of cross-border cooperation in other regions. The presentation is available for download on our website.
