Site analyses and spatial impact assessment

At ÖIR, we assess areas in terms of their suitability for development uses. We link spatial and environmental criteria with questions of accessibility as well as the economic and social context of the potential site.

Site analyses and spatial impact assessment

Large infrastructure (such as universities, business parks, public facilities, etc.) have to meet certain location requirements in order to function as planned. Site analyses can be used to test the suitability of areas for a specific project. Spatial impact assessments (SIAs) examine the spatial effects of a project on the development of a community or region.

At ÖIR, we assess areas in terms of their suitability for development uses. We link spatial and environmental criteria with questions of accessibility as well as the economic and social context of the potential site. As a basis for zoning decisions, we examine projects at the level of master plans regarding their spatial and environmental impacts.
