The tasks at ÖIR comprise evaluations particularly of EU policy instruments and programmes (structural funds, rural development, CBC programmes, etc.); project leader and project work in research projects in the area of European Spatial Observatory network as well in European programme for rural development (key expert for quantitative procedures for the evaluation within the European Evaluation Network for Rural Development); policy consulting projects in the area policy (e.g. for the Styrian government) and development cooperation (e.g. Austrian Development Agency - Regional Development Centre Suhareka - Kosovo).

Education

  • Study of commercial sciences and business administration at the University of Economics of Vienna (speciality - behavioural management - courses in the area of hospital management)
  • International Postgraduate Course on MCDA methods - Multi-criteria Analysis and Decision Aid Techniques and methods of multi-criteria analysis

Professional Career

  • Österreichisches Institut für Raumplanung (ÖIR) (since 2003)
  • University lectures at the University of Economics of Vienna and the University of Vienna for the areas environmental economy, ecologic economy, agricultural economy, resource economy, regional development (since 1996)
  • Research assistant: Institute for regional and environment economy of Vienna (previously Interdisciplinary Institute for Environment and Economy) (1992-2003)
  • Project manager, speaker and coordinator of the initiative to found an "Öko-Bank" (ecologically-oriented bank) in Austria (1995-1996)
  • Militial officer: Medical logistics and hospital management as well as liaison officer for the civilian medical and disaster deployment offices of the Land (Styria) and federal government. 1991 - UN deployment - UNAFHIR (United Nation Austrian Field Hospital in Iran) (1985-2006)
