"Rural Potentials for Regional Development" conference

From 27th to 28th of November 2008 "Rural Potentials for Regional Development" will be hosted in Vienna, a joint conference of the 6th Framework Programme projects TERESA and ETUDE. Its topic, the future of European rural development, will be addressed from two main perspectives: the view of decision makers and their policy strategies on one hand and the view of the European regions and their actors, their strategies towards diversification and the promotion of a living countryside on the other.

The conference will be held in English and is organised by the TERESA lead partner Austrian Institute for Regional Studies and Spatial Planning (ÖIR). We are pleased to welcome Commissioner Franz Fischler and Professor Andy Stirling from the University of Sussex for some introductory presentations.
